Step Back: A Stepmother’s Handbook is released today
Author Margit Eva Bernard is pleased to announce the release of her first book, Step Back: A Stepmother’s Handbook.
Ms. Bernard’s book is a guide for stepmothers and stepmothers-to-be, containing fresh insights through Margit Bernard’s candid portrayal of her relationships with her two husbands and seven stepchildren. More than an autobiographical perspective, the book reveals essential truths about human connections of every kind.
Through Ms. Bernard’s Step Back philosophy, readers will achieve a clear understanding of their own relationships and how to improve them, while strengthening their own sense of self.
“I felt that my realistic experience of being a stepmother could make a valuable contribution to women who have lost themselves, trying to be everything to everyone else in their lives,” Ms. Bernard says.
Author T.A. Barron says of Step Back, “I am convinced that this is an important book that serves an unmet need. Indeed, Ms. Bernard is writing about a subject that clearly needs to be discussed openly, but rarely is.”
In each chapter, Ms. Bernard weaves her own knowledge with the wisdom of the sages who have helped inspire her, especially that of Kahlil Gibran, whose The Prophet was a key influence for this book. Step Back is illustrated with black and white photographs reflective of the book’s themes.
Step Back: A Stepmother’s Handbook is available online at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and through your local independent bookseller.
